Continuing Education

It is important for all certificate holders to be informed about the constantly changing world of healthcare. Taking the continuing education courses is part of your certification renewal and shows that your are committed to your career and patient care. Palmetto Training Services is committed to partnering in preparing workers to keep their jobs by providing courses of Continuing Education (CEUs) in the following subjects:

Academic Career Program:

American Heart Association/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR):

classes are conducted every week or by appointment. Cards are issued by the American Heart Association

 

 RECEIVE NATIONAL CERTIFICATION with NHA in the following:

Patient Care Technicians/Assistant

Medical assistant

Phlebotomy technician

Billing & Coding Specialist

EKG Technician

Pharmacy Technician

to take these exams, a student must be completed his or her training program within the last 5 years. Have a high school diploma or GED.


NURSING-NCLEX/PN-RN REVIEW: LPN and RN students who have graduated from an accredited institution can participate in this program.


Nursing Assistant (N.A) Challenge Preparation

The program is designed to train students through didactic, use of textbook, reading, videos and instructor demonstration, return demonstration, pre/post quizzes and a final exam to measure learning. Students who enroll in this program will be supplied with necessary materials/items to practice basic skills required to become a Certified Nursing Assistant.

The program satisfies the Federal Law requirement that Nursing Assistant employed by agencies accepting Medicare and Medicaid complete

Program Length: 4-6 Weeks.

English for Speakers of other language (ESOL)

Tutoring of English for Speakers of other Languages is also offered to help them achieve their dream.


Computer tutoring

Basic Windows Computer sessions are offered to all graduate students from the home health aide program if they wish to challenge the CNA- exam with the board, 10 hours free workshops to learn the fundamentals of MS WINDOWS to get acquainted with the system when taking the computer- based exam.
